Project Highlights 2022 - Something Extra

In addition to the inflatable projects making headlines like Justin Bieber’s airplane for the ‘Justice' tour and Katy Perry’s inflatable displays in ‘Play’ we’ve worked on many projects this year that pushed our creative or technical boundaries to produce something a little “extra”.

As 2022 comes to a close, we want to highlight some of these “extra” projects to spark ideas for adding inflatable displays to your promotions and installations in 2023 and beyond.

Misha Kahn - ‘Under the Wobble Moon’

The intricate abstract shapes and surface art in Misha Kahn's “Under The Wobble Moon” exhibit at Museum Villa Stuck really challenged our design and production teams. The end result was stunning, and we all had so much fun seeing it come to life!

Tyler, The Creator - Bellhop Display

Tyler, The Creator - Bellhop Display

The backlit, star-shaped eyes on the Bellhop created as a surprise for the artist for the tour, 'Call Me If You Get Lost!’ really made the character pop and it created a perfect photo op for concert-goers! We worked with our brilliant friends at AEG on this project!

Cirque du Soleil - Mad Apple

We’ve worked with Cirque on various projects. This giant (30-foot) inflatable apple display for their “Mad Apple” performances was extra because it was stationed in front of the New York, New York hotel in Las Vegas, and subjected to the Nevada outdoor elements for nine months!

Faye Webster - Marble Bust

Faye Webster - Marble Bust

Designing and creating the look of realistic marble on a bust resembling singer-songwriter Faye Webster made this challenging project one of our favorites this year! Complete with backlit eyes, the inflatable bust went on Faye Webster's “Car Therapy Sessions” tour. Working with Faye's team was a treat, and based on her social media posts, it's clear she's also thrilled with her custom stage piece!

Doja Cat - Coachella Robot

Doja Cat - Coachella Robot

The half-inflatable, half-metal statue on stage during Doja Cat's 2022 Coachella performance definitely created something “extra” in terms of inflatable stage displays. Textured marble was integrated with a metal spiral staircase allowing the artist to climb chest level with the giant display.
